About Ameti Capital and our editorial method

Ameti Capital (ameti.capital) is a free educational site about the arithmetic of pricing: gross margin, markup, price from a target margin and the effect of discounts. It is published by Ameti One LLC. It is educational only, not an investment, capital advisory, lending, succession-planning or M&A service, despite the word "capital" in the domain.

Spelling and soft-collision notice

Our name uses the spelling Ameti (with an e). This site is not affiliated with unrelated firms that use similar names, including the Canadian advisory brand Amati Capital (with an a). We do not manage money, arrange financing or advise on transactions, and nothing on this site is an offer of such services.

What we publish

• Calculators for margin, markup and price-from-margin that run entirely in your browser.
• Guides that each explain one pricing-arithmetic question, with formulas, a worked example, a reusable table and links to the sources for the definitions.

Break-even, contribution margin and fixed-vs-variable cost worksheets are published on a separate sibling site, ameticapital.com. The two sites are connected by ordinary text links; neither redirects to the other.

How content is prepared and checked

1. Standard definitions, linked. Formulas follow standard accounting usage, and each guide links its references, mainly the free OpenStax Principles of Accounting textbooks.
2. Illustrative numbers only. Worked examples use invented round figures (for example a $60 cost and a $100 price). They are not data about any real business, industry benchmarks or customer results.
3. Computed tables. Lookup and sensitivity tables are generated from the stated formulas rather than typed by hand, and the calculators are tested against the worked examples so the page and the tool agree.
4. AI assistance disclosed. Drafting is done with AI assistance; a review step checks formulas, links and claims before publication. We do not claim professional credentials, case studies, testimonials or client outcomes.

Corrections and updates

Report an error through the contact page with the page URL and what you expected. Confirmed errors are corrected and the page's "last reviewed" date is updated.

Funding and advertising

There are no advertisements, affiliate links or tracking scripts on this site. If that ever changes, this page and the privacy notice will be updated first.
